for a dual shock setup, I would personnally go with like an Rancho rs5000 for the outter one, and use a RS9000SX for the inner one, that way you have one shock that you can control the dampening on based on loads. I'm probably not going to go the dual shock route myself, but will probably go with a King w/external resivoir that is custom setup for my truck. I currently have RS9000's all around on my truck and they do a pretty good job.

On the Control arms, I don't think the wear will be all that great compared to the stockers. Yes, they will wear and allow a more flexible front end, but I think that will also help the ride some as well. Right now the way the truck sits, the front end is too stiff.

Hey, I think it's a poor excuse too. I'm just reporting to the forum what the man told me.
Oh I Know that I directed that tward DT. Man That is a bummer as SJ does everything in their trademark red. So wait I need the control arms as well with the sj track bar? Then that means the only way it is adjustable is to adjust your complete front end :D I am after all running a leveling kit from Jackit. The control arms just move the axle 3/4 of an inch tward the front of the truck to center it's linear movement. Does anyone ELSE sell DT's stuff?

Word of caution

Do not buy the DT dual shock kit they do not work. I bought this kit and the lower shock mount would hit the brake caliper. When I informed DT of this ( after a week of trying to get a hold of them) he was unaware of the problem. The holes were also the wrong size and needed drilling and the shock would sit at a funny angle. IMO a very poor design. It also does not come with the proper hardware for install, you basically have to half ass it and piece it together. No upper bolts, the lower bolts would be to short etc etc. Your better off with the SKJ kit and just paint it if you don't like it red. It took awhile to get a hold of them to return it and when I finally did I got back less than what I paid for it and did not get refunded my return shipping. :D

And also

If you purchase the DT links make sure you specify what year your truck is. 99 and earlier have different size bolts which have smaller sleeves. 00 and up have bigger bolts with bigger sleeves. I got the wrong sleeves and was expected to machine them out. So I told them I could not do that and DT had to make me the right size and send them to me. The whole proces took 2 months, from initial order until all parts were right. Good luck.

I have to say now though that I am happy with the links and trac bar so far.

unfortunatly, that is what the control arms cost. I've thought about getting all the pieces and making my own, not sure if I want to step off into that relm of R&D with my daily driver. If I had my own shop and welding equipment, it would probably be a different story. I haven't set my mind on which way I'm going to go, but right now I'm leaning towards the skyjacker double flex control arms.

My lift kit came with new control arms. They are grey in color. They also don't flex. That design doesn't smell right to me. I've got the dual shock configuration up front and the ride is firm.

As far as the DT tracbar goes, it's a quality unit. It's not the only solution but appears to be one of the best. It sounds like they had better start tightening things up at their shop though.

Now if I could just get my DSS stabilizer? (Hello Piers!)
