for a dual shock setup, I would personnally go with like an Rancho rs5000 for the outter one, and use a RS9000SX for the inner one, that way you have one shock that you can control the dampening on based on loads. I'm probably not going to go the dual shock route myself, but will probably go with a King w/external resivoir that is custom setup for my truck. I currently have RS9000's all around on my truck and they do a pretty good job.
On the Control arms, I don't think the wear will be all that great compared to the stockers. Yes, they will wear and allow a more flexible front end, but I think that will also help the ride some as well. Right now the way the truck sits, the front end is too stiff.
