Their swirl design has been on farm equiptment and forklifts for years. One issue as I understand it is that for the swirl to make the dirt drop out you must have adequate velocity,that is spelled restriction. A catch 22, long filter life(dirt drops out before entering filter media) but less than optimal flow.

AFE has built one off filters for unique use including off road racing,trick housings and all. It's all out there if you know where to look
