Under seat storage

I would like to put some storage under both my front seats and the rear bench. I have manual seats with a huge space under them. I am familiar with the factory rear seat storage container, but would like a box big enough to put a couple of scoped rifles. I have looked at a costom built (metal) box from a machinist for about $250. 00. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Do you do any woodworking? I'll bet that you could make a nice plywood box, maybe with dividers, etc.

I went to buy the factory rear under seat storage compartment yesterday, needless to say I wont be buying it 488. 00. Has anyone installed the Areo Tanks rear storage compartment I believe it's about 100 bucks.

I put in the Aerotank rear seat storage box last year. It went in without a problem and looks great. One thing I did that allowed it to fit better, was to switch the right and left rear seat release handles. Seems like I read that somewhere in one of last years TDR magazines.

Search in the product forum for a thread I started on "Under Seat Storage". I had a few replies along with some references to other threads on the same subject.

I havn't purchased anything yet myself, but was leaning toward the USSJunkbox. I've also considered making one myself. LOL

One more thing I forgot to tell you. Both after market units for sale have partitions in them that I think would preclude you from placing rifles or anything else long in them. I wanted to store a long farm jack in the box (Yuk, Yuk)but his head would keep popping out. A custom box might be the way to go.

I just bought the loockable ram under rear seat storage box, And I am very happy with it it cost 200 bucks.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm leaning tword the custom made metal rear seat box. I'll let everyone know how it turns out. Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.
