I had mine at my door step in 3 buisiness days from Texas. Everyone has 13-17 actuators. I looked at two large distributers website and neither show one for an 18 C&C. Not saying they aren't available, just not as readily available yet. Especially a reman.

Quickserve shows that it’s the same part.

Greg have you looked around at all other than that one shop that's left you out to dry?

I went back to the website I quoted last night and don't see one period for C&C. I must have been looking at the actuators for pickups or something. They want to sell you an entire turbo but no actuator, and that is for 13-17 C&C only. They have nothing listed for 18+. Strange.

Hopefully you get things ironed out.

This link does include 2018 MY...

Just be careful where you buy if you end up doing so.
eBay and Amazon are really hit and miss sometimes on specialty parts. Leon the Auto broker doesn't sound like he's a fella in the diesel buisiness...

This is the other place I was looking, I just punched in your actuator part # you listed above and it comes back not available, same as M&D distributor.

If I were purchasing this myself, and I know that isn't your intention, I'd email or call M&D distributor (in my first link) for clarification. Even if you don't purchase from them they will be able to point you in the right direction. Those folks really know their stuff.

Since it’s been DEATHLY slow.....I managed to see an old friend of mine this morning that runs a diesel performance place (he has built and ran pulling trucks for several years).

Upon further inspection......we have discovered that there’s at least an exhaust manifold leak on #6 cylinder. He stated it was hard to see others cylinders, as the EGR cooler was more in the way on the Cab & Chassis engines than the pickup engines.

In any event....White Lightning is going into the shoppe Thursday for new exhaust manifold gaskets.

I’ve been so bored lately that today I actually changed the engine oil, oil filter, both fuel filters, and greased the front driveshaft 3,541 miles before it was actually due. :D

Oh well....this will be one of the two or three times it was done prematurely.

My ‘14 did a very similar thing a couple months ago. When the exhaust brake would engage, it made a weird kinda squeal noise. Mine ended up being the rear gasket between the exhaust manifold and egr cooler.
Hopefully this isn’t the case with yours. That was not a fun job.

The exact thing happened to me, and it was the exact same fix. Difference is mine was done by the dealer since it was just barely still under warranty.

Following up / closing out this thread.

I didn’t want to leave some of ya hanging like a prom date.

I got crazy busy later on in March and didn’t get to go to a friend’s shop as earlier described. I called and left two messages this week, and even called another shop, left a message, with no return phone calls.

In a nutshell......the squealing noise (most likened to a few cheap 4th of July bottle rockets) had gotten basically unbearable. I’m sure I had at least three exhaust manifold gaskets bad, as, under deceleration with full exhaust brake on, one could discern upwards of at least three distinct “notes”. I said enough is enough, and called my favorite service writer, Justin, at Don Franklin RAM in Somerset, KY on Wednesday. I volunteered to leave the truck for a few days, and he said one of his two guys would get it knocked out by the end of the day Monday, as long as my exhaust manifold checked out straight and true.

In true Justin fashion....he exceeded my expectations and had the truck ready end of day Friday, and I picked it up today around 1:30 pm.

Ahhhhhh.....the peacefulness and quietness is amazing now. No more sounds of incoming missiles when running the exhaust brake.

6 exhaust manifold gaskets, turbo oil drain pipe gasket, turbocharger to manifold gasket, and 2 hex flange head bolts later, White Lightning is purring like a kitten.

Now all I have to do is get out on Monday and and start earning some more $$$$’s to replenish the business account!
