Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Update TC only?

Whats the up\down side to just updating the TC.



I have minmal upgrades, happy where I am at and was wondering if going this route is advisable. I never tow or race, just looking to to be more efficiant in the trans department.



Trans is fine, low miles, just cant really justify the entire upgrade.

A good TC will help a lot even if you don't do anything else with the trans. The biggest problem with the stock trans is the sloppy TC. If you do that and turn up the line pressure you will be pleased with the difference. Of course, it will not perform like a good after market trans, but it will be an improvement over what you have.

Did the full trans on the last truck and was very happy, should have kept it but it went a way, long story.
