I just got done helping my dad upgrade his rearend on his 2001. 5 to a D80 out of a 2002. So after we were done and went to take it for a ride I noticed that the ABS and E-BRAKE lights were on in the console. I disconnected the batteries for about 30 min. and unhooked the speedo unit on top of the rearend and sprayed it out with some electrical connection cleaner, hooked everything back up and still the same thing. We are both confused on this since the only connector that we unplug was that one. Has anyone experienced this and what was the find for it, any suggestions are appreciated, thanks Andrew.

I have had this problem when the speed sensor was bad. Are you using your original speed sensor, or the one already in the D80?

I changed my 3:54 to a 4:10 and had the same thing. Was told I had to take it in to Dodge to reflash the pcm or ecm as it is proprietary. I did that and the problem was solved. GeneA

I am using the one on the D80 but still have the other axle and may pull it off and change it out and see how what that does if not I it will have to go to the dealership to get a reflash. Thanks for the advice, Andrew.

Finally had a chance to go and take a look at the speed sensor on the D80 that I put in and I was surprised to see it broken in two, so I fished it out and replaced it with the spare and know everything work great with none of the lights on. The weird thing about this is that the speedo still funtioned properly. Thanks to all of the help, Andrew.
