From what i have been told by many different transmission places about input shafts is that if you are running like 400+ i think then you want the billet input. The stock output will be fine for quite a while as long as you are not doing 10+ psi boost launches on the drag strip or sled track. I have a stock output and knew nothing about the boost launch thing, and once a tried a 5 pound launch, it was pretty darn addicting, so i now ordered the billet output so i can do 20+ launchs in 4WD. In 2 wheel drive you might be fine because your tires are gonna spin to help eliminate some of the torque stress on the output, but when you do it in four wheel drive, there will probably not be much spinning which will add MUCH MORE stress to the output shaft.
