Hey All
I put the MaxTrac 6" lift kit on my 06 Ram 2500 2WD but now the upper control arms are bottoming out on the strut mount. Does anyone have any recommendations for replacements?

Is this the kit that comes with the spindles?
Did you call customer service about the issue?

Do I see a spacer on top of the spring or is this just the spring insulator?

I measured the height of the front and back and the front is sitting up 1 inch higher than the rear

I went ahead and ordered some Moog upper control arms. I have a feeling it's these cheap Detroit axle control arms

I'm taking off the bigger springs and putting the stock springs back in. That will take it down to a 3" lift. Hopefully MaxTrac will let me return those springs since the kit really doesn't fit on this truck.

Fun ist that they always write it's a 3.5" lift - but call it 6"??? From the Video on their page they say that the spindle itself gives a 3" lift trough the drop of the unit bearing.
To me, personally a 6" with an independent suspension, without dropping the subframe too is insane, the a-bars will be in a horrible angle - like we see in the pics.

Have you verified the height of the replacement spindles? They look too short, or maybe the springs are the wrong ones and provide too much lift.

How are they claiming 3” of lift on the stock springs?

The position of the unit bearing drops by 3" compared to the lower balljoint.
So 3" lift without changing the geometry of the arms.

Took the larger springs off and put stock springs on, problem solved. Maxtrac is working with me and letting me return the springs. Heres a pic. 2.5" blocks in the rear and 3.5" longer spindle arms in the front.

I think that looks pretty decent eh?
Just from this picture - wouldn't you have had a Carolina squat with 6" in the front?

Something is still wrong. Either a ball joint is bad or it's still hitting the strut tower. If I go over a bump I hear a clunk. Mostly on passenger side. All the ball joints were replaced last year. I need to find out the clearance range for this upper control arm. I wonder if it's still hitting. Those marks are from when the larger springs were on, I need to clean it up and then see if it leaves marks from hitting.
