Upper Radiator Hose

Thought I'd share... had the upper hose fail at the Y. had to borrow a tester... my old tester won't connect my modern overflow tank... I called 2 part houses for the upper hose.... both said about $130 and a week away... dealer had it in stock for $175.... I found a dor-man on line (Amazon) for $85 and it was 2 days away.... when it arrived it was 3 pieces... the two hoses and a now a metal Y instead of the plastic that's stock...

thanks for sharing. i live on amazon. they almost always are worth it to me instead of driving 20 miles " down the hill " to town. save a lot of fuel and time and tires using amazon. let the ups guy wear out his rig. cheers!

I guess they didn't make enough of our trucks with the defective Y pipe to qualify for a recall. It's not if your Y pipe willfail it's when. They all fail. There really should be a recall.

To my knowledge a recall is for safety issues, a broken hose doesn't qualify for that.

I put the Mishimoto on mine as a preventive maintenance. They replace the y pipes altogether. A billet y replacement is about $100 each. I figured I’d pay a few more bucks and get the life time warranty silicone hoses and Eliminate those y’s altogether. They sell for about 275 ish on Amazon. They look cool too.

I see on Amazon they got the billet y- pipes, as low as 59.95, but none of them I saw mentioned 3 pieces, are you talking the hose , not the y-pipe itself ??, or the billet y-pipe with the two clamps
