Want bullbar

I would like to get in on the group purchase of Bullbar for my '95. Tried the e-mail to order, wouldn't go thru for some reason! I live in NW Iowa and would be willing to help with delivery! Help me out on how to get this order rolling. Thanks jps

Hmmmm... . that address should work as it's the same one I've been corresponding with Randy on. Did you try going to their webpage and poking around for links? That's how I initially got in touch with him.

Should be hearing back from him on Monday with a link to a new page he's putting up on the site detailing this offer and possibly some freight quotes. I'll confirm an address with him then.

Yeah Eric, I could actually see needing 3 guys to get it on there-2 to hold it up and 1 to start the bolts. Pretty sure I could lift it but it's kinda hard to start the bolts from the top side of the truck :D

More updates from Randy at Ute!

Got 2 more messages from Randy at Ute this afternoon... . as follows!

This one is a link to the page detailing the offer:

Notice there is a deadline for the first 30 bullbars...

If we do not have at least 30 paid orders by April 5th, all orders will be

cancelled and refunded.

and this one should help out a few people-I emailed Randy a link to the thread so he could check out what was going on:

Jason,

I have been checking out some of the messages on the TDR site. I can

address some of those concerns.

e-mail problems... could be that they are using hotmail or some other free

mail service. We have blocking on many servers that send SPAM on a regular

basis. This person's e-mail may resemble one of the blocked addresses.

Sorry about that.

As for the mounting. The shipping weight is about 150 lbs. When separated,

the steel mounts and the aluminum are each less than 100 lbs. One really

nice aspect of the Dodge Ram bullbar is that once the mounts are slid into

place on the frame rails, it is a hands free operation. One bolt will keep

it from falling out while the rest of the bolts are put in place. Alignment

is done with the bolts that hold the aluminum to the steel. It can be done

with one experienced mechanic or someone with a good mechanical aptitude.

You need some muscle too. I recommend you have at least two people if you

do not have a shop to work in and at least a six pack on the side.

Hopefully we can get enough guys together to make this a reality!

Pretty sure that if you email him to let him know you want in for sure that a day or two over on the cheque isn't gonna matter..... you could probably phone him too for that matter. Sure seems like a good guy-I've traded more emails with him in the last couple of days than I usually send out in a week!

Jason

I can't seem to find it on their page-guess I should look a little closer before I run my mouth ;) . Did you try using the contact form on their website on the Contact page? It should work for ya... .

I'll email Randy and get his phone # to put up here as well.

BULLBUMPERS

Jason,Ijust had email from Randy. Some of my email must be getting thru. Would like to ask what type of payment he wants. Credit card, personal check,or whatever? Seems I can get e-mail to go thru if I don't use local server! Anyway let me know about type of payment! jps

Yea, I'd go for the credit card payment, assuming it's an option.

Got to have an idea on the shipping. I'm about as far away from Austrailia as you can get. :D

New Jersey!!!

Eric

From what I got out of Randy, they're not set up for credit card stuff because they deal through dealers all the time :( . But maybe it would be possible for him to run the purchase through a distributor to make the credit card thing work... ... Here's another thought-I dunno if you guys south of the 49th ever get credit cheques-up here Visa flogs them out every so often to get you to make extravagant purchases on credit. :D They look just like a personal cheque-but they debit your credit card instead. Maybe something like that would work as well.

If you get hold of Randy either through email or the contact form on the website I'm sure he'll work out a way to make things work for ya-he's been real helpful so far!

Jason

JHansen, any news from Randy. I sent him an e-mail yesterday afternoon to "order mine" and received a confirmation. But I still want some some idea on shipping. Thanks

I have to email him tonight Steve so I'll see what he has to say about shipping quotes... ...

I don't think he's gonna get any for stock in the initial 30 Mark-maybe if we make that he'll get some extras... ... but he's been trying to flog them through his dealer network now for 2-3 months with not enough takers to justify a run..... so I dunno. Now if we could get 100 or so :D !
