It appears from their web site that there are now 8 orders. It says they need 22 more to start production. Is that how you guys are reading it? I emailed Randy 2 questions but also want to ask them here in case anyone already knows the answer. Can I mount a Warn M15 winch? Also, can I keep my factory tow hooks? I'm one of the orders. Anyone else in the Baltimore/Washington corridor that wants to split/combine shipping?

Thanks,

Dave.

May be able to help with 1 answer........

When I initially talked to Randy way back when (start of February according to my email date) one of the questions I asked was about compatibility with my front receiver hitch. He advised that the Bullbar bolts to the frame using the same holes as the factory bumper. I can't remember how the factory towhooks bolt on-do they replace a bumper bracket or bolt on in addition? Probably a good chance you can make them fit-the only question I'd have is will they come out underneath the Ute bumper or in the middle of it? :(

I just took a glance at Ute's main page-they say the winch mount for the Super Duty models will accept the M12000 and M15000 series Warn winches so I would assume the Dodge ones will too...

Pretty sure that he'll have all the answers for you anyways Dave-he's always been quick on the draw answering me back and so far he's been able to answer all my questions. I'm pretty sure you're right as well that we need 22 more guys to jump on the bandwagon-tell all your friends folks! I've posted on DieselRam.com as well as to the DiRT mailing list to reach a wider audience... ...

I don't even need it shipped!

I live about 1 hour from their warehouse. That would save a couple hundred dollars right there! If it fits on the 2003 3500 my father-in-law would order one also. Now if only I can get the better half to loosen up the strap on the checking account...

Jason-

I think I saw the same thing you did on their home page.

"Ford SuperDuty series F250/350/450 and Excursion

both winch and non winch models for fitting, up to a Warn HD9000 winch and many other brands as well.

Warn 12000 and 15000 winch mount now available from TorkLift"

What do they mean "available from TorkLift". I thought that was just for the front receiver. I don't see anything on the TorkLift site about a winch mount.

If I recall correctly, the Tow Hook brackets attach over the existing brackets. They also bolt additionally to the front frame crossover. I was very impressed when I first installed them. I think you are right, the question is will they be below the bumper or not. I would really miss those tow hooks, they are very, very strong. It looks like they make a provision in the Ford bumper for their factory tow hooks. Not sure if I'm seeing that right or not.

I asked Randy if the stock air dam would fit on it, and he said it was made to fact. spec's and would fit, so the tow hooks should work also.

Larry

Just got an email from Randy. They do not currently make a mount for the Warn M12/M15 winch. He said if there were enough requests they would make it. What size winches are you guys using/planning on using? Warn (and everyone else I have seen) recommends a rating 1. 5 times your GVWR (minimum). That would be a winch rated at 13,200 lbs. Also, the factory tow hooks are no problem.

So I got at least 1 answer halfways right-not bad for a first-timer :)... ...

I got email again last night/this morning! Approximate freight rates-these will also be posted on the webpage:

QUOTE->

Rates for shipping will be approximately;

East Coast ~ $180

Mid-West ~ $125

N and West coast ~ $115

Group rates may be better if we get several going to the same location.

I will post this information to the web page ASAP

More good news

I just received another email. It seems that their front receiver bolts directly to the bumper. This means that if you have the factory tow hooks you can keep them with a front receiver. I'm now thinking of going with this setup and getting a Warn 9500 winch with a receiver tray so that I can use the winch front or rear. Will a 9500 winch be adequate? I think that is the biggest that can be used with a receiver mount.

Thanks,

Dave.
