Hey Guys,

I'm suffering here. The UPS guy showed up at work with the new VA duration box (VA CP3 LEVEL 2).

It's sitting on my desk... ... Daring me to skip out of this crap hole and slap her on. :D

TWest, are you ready?

I will report by tomorrow. .

Take the rest of the day off! This box must be tested immediately, you owe it to the rest of us! I can't wait to hear the results.

I'm Back

Well, the install was 9 minutes for the unit, and 6 minutes for the switch (not in the dash yet).

VERY good install. VERY easy. Only problem was the velco was all male, no loops. Not a biggy.

Took it for a 20 minute drive... ...

And.....

To be continued. .

Okay....

Okay, I’m done screwing with ya. You know that little flat spot at the start of the take-off… Gone.

This box just plain sets ya back. The 315’s break loose VERY easy.

I will have this truck at the May 8th TDR gathering in Minnesota. I will get some Dyno numbers.

The only negative, when it is up all the way, I got some smoke (not tires this time).

In comparison to my Edge box on the 2001 H. O. , there is a larger difference.

You have to try this beast.

All posotive things to say. I have a 90 mile drive home tonight, I will post again tonight.

GAUGES

I don't have anything yet. I am still looking to see what I want. Right now it looks like the X-monitor by BD.

Smoke? I want some!

The only time mine has smoked was a cold morning and it poured like a freight train.

For the most part not having smoke is a good thing, but when some little punk has his bumper under yours, it sure would be nice to fog them out:)

Goosneck's Smoke

Well, if ya lug it a little with a good pedal on the 100% setting, you get a nice plume.

I made the same trip home I do everyday, 77mph the whole way (61 miles), except a few bursts. I had the box set on the 1/2 setting, and I noticed a change in the overhead.

I have been at 16. 5 on the overhead on every trip (16. 7 hand average so far), every day for the last 2 weeks (1600 miles). Well, I filled-up and reset after I screwed around at lunch (when I put the box on).

The overhead was at 17. 7 tonight when I got home. Looks like this box may help out on all my highway driving.

I have a 250 mile trip tomorrow, I will see what that yeilds.

Installed mine today. What a great little box. Excellent drivability and great torque. WOT run to 95 gave me 30psi boost and 830* post turbo.

Truck seems to have a barely noticable micro stutter if you stomp it at very low rpm as the fuel map really kicks in. But I'm SUPER sensitive to any changes in drivability. Also got a code of P0606 Internal ECM Processor but no light and no problems? Should have disconnected both batteries before I removed the ECM connector. Didn't say to in the instructions but I found a reference to doing that later in the day looking through the service manual.

On any setting you would not know that this is not a stock truck, but when you stand on the loud pedal HANG ON!

Overall exceptionally happy with the purchase. Thank you Danny at Precision Diesel for hand carrying it to a UPS drop so it would go out same day! Awesome guy. Give 'em a call...

All boxes I've heard give the 0606 code never a light, its kinda like the ECM can see whats up but can't do anything about it, dont sweat it.

Engel better get some gauges in asap, I wouldn't use it except for level 1, and very carefully.

And Gypsyman you oughta get your probe relocated to pre-turbo. 850 with a quick blast is pretty toasty post turbo, probably 1300-1400 preturbo.

Cost & mileage

Can you let us know what amount of coin it takes to purchase said box? and please keep us posted on mileage( hand calculated),OK. If it gives an all around improvement, I want to get on for my 04. Thanks for the great info so far. :)

Gauges

Vaughn MacKenzie,

Keeping it on level one for now. I will have something by the end of the week.

Did notice the temp gauge go up about 25 degrees after a good burst upto 100.
