I've actually pulled the numbers on the chart because the dyno run was hard to interpret. the box looks like it will be powerful than anything else except the TST, but I've decided not to publish numbers until I understand the dyno runs better.
TheWolf -- There are two pressure box compaines that have gained my respect. These guys have simply not played the cat-and-mouse game that all all other mfgs have. Banks has declared that 24,500 is where they draw the line for safety, and then they offer the speedloader that goes up to 27,000.
VA draws the line even more concervatively, stating to me that their pressure box only goes to the 23,600 region. This is evidenced by the fact tha the VA pressure box only makes about 30 HP over stock peak, but produces very respectable torque gains in the drivability region.
What you have with the VA duration box is more fuel with zero pressure increase -- the fuel pressure curve is left totally stock. In this regard, the safety is that you don't have to worry about the high presure rail itself. ever.
I actually have a good deal of respect for the VA pressure approach. It would be fascinating to stack the VA pressure box with the VA duration box, not just for the extra power, but to see what the performance and drivability would be at some combination less than box boxes turned all the way up. I happen to be a fan of duration, very small amounts of pressure, and of course timing. now if the new VA box just did timing...
