I'm pretty sure everyone running this box has gotten this code. I have been resetting mine and tracking when I get it and found out if I stay of the 100% setting AND WOT runs it does not come on. I have never seen it while running the 50% setting and I'm trying to see just how hard I have to push it at 100% before it throws the code.

I have the OBDII connector and software for my laptop, justy plug it in, fire up the program and reset the code. You could disconnect the batteries for 20 - 30 minutes and that should clear the computer as well.

So did the P0606 turn the light on? Or is it just the one that comes from disconnecting the ECM plug whenn installing?

Blakers,

I thought it wa from disconnecting the plug but after I cleared the initial one I got it again, no light, just an extra chime when starting. As long as I leave it off the 100% setting it never throws a code.

Bob4x4,

Did they put a small battery in the computer to hold memory or are the codes now stored in a non-volitile ram??

I have a laptop... Can someone direct me to the correct software and cable to do the job? I remember looking online way back when... but I had no idea what setup I needed.

TIA

Byron

What exactly does the 0606 code mean,

JC, will the box not work at all on the truck? I would press them to take it back if it won't work or you are not happy with it's performance. How does it work, if not timing, fuel pressure??

JC,

You lost me altogether, what hooks up to th turbo?? I agree with GW, if it is not as advertised send it back! The 0606 is P0606 Internal ECM Processor error. It does not light the check engine light.

We're getting the code P0606 too. Has anyone talked with anyone at VA about this? I wonder if they're working on it?

Will the P0606 code clear itself after so many restarts if the conditions to not exist to reset it? I have never cleared the codes since installing it a couple of weeks ago. Could the code still be there from installation?

cycle the key three times and it will show on the odometer any codes you have. I don't think this one clears itself, at least it hasn't for me so I have cleared it myself.

When I talked with Danny at Precision Diesel before I ordered, he said it would leave the P0606 code from installation, then it would go away on its own.

I will try clearing it and see if it comes back.
