Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Vacuum line?

I have been upgrading my 98.5 to a Banks system. In removing the turbo there was a small hose connected to the intake air side (front) it would not come off so I checked for extra play and cut it off. I thought I'd add it back onto the turbo when reassembling it. Can't find the hose anywhere, I left it attached to what ever the other end was hitched to, but I have looked and looked. Can't find this hose anywhere in the engine bay. What does this hose do? Or can I plug the hole and get along with out it?

It goes between the compressor housing and wastegate actuator. If you are installing the banks bighead, you may have left it attached to the old actuator.
