Well I finally decided to install my power steering pump that had been sitting in my garage for months. I also bought a Gould Gear vacuum pump reseal kit. The seal kit arrived fast I bought it off ebay. Removal of the pump wasn't hard there is just not much room to work. The power steering lines on the back of the power steering pump were frozen so I ended up cutting them per the DVDs instructions. Once the whole unit it unbolted you'll feel the weight of it when you drop it out of the timing cover. I had to remove the intercooler piping to pull the whole unit out. When you get the two sections of the pump separated its easy sailing. The seal kit is extremely simple to install and the DVD that comes with it was great! I put everything back together and struggled getting the vacuum pump seal that goes against the timing cover to stay lined up with the bolt holes. I finally got it. Now I have great steering and a vacuum pump I shouldn't have to worry about. Took me about 4hrs start to finish. If anyone is thinking of buying the Pete Gould vacuum pump reseal kit I suggest it. Great kit!
