Black water coming out of faucet!!!

Truck-to-trailer wiring...

You may have saw my thread on Vegas RV Parks.

How many days should I give to get back home. 2 or 3? My wife wants to stay 2 nights in Vegas which would only give us 2 days to drive home.

I know I can do it no problem, but with the kids along we have to stop once in a while.

Joe,

Make sure you have a portable 7" to 10" DVD player and set it on the center console, along with an assortment of Disney movies, etc.

You can do it in 2 days. Possibly stop in Reno for the night. If you do it in 3, you can stop in Reno, then Oakridge or somewhere on 58.

Good luck.

We make Portland to Winnemucca one day. Las Vegas next . Easy Drive. Go by way of Battle Mt from the south. Shorter than freeway. Up 95 to 78 Burns.

It depends if you still want to be married when you get home :). With the kids I would say 3, by yourself or just the two of you, 2. When Val and I did it a few years we did it in 3. That makes the last day short one with time to unload and unwind.

I know I can do it in 2 days and we always have the DVD player going on long trips.

Hey Bob, it is my wifes idea to do it in 2 days. I suggested 3 but she wants to stay in Vegas for 2 nights. That only leaves us 2 days to get home.

My work schedule is flexible so if it is too much to get home on Sunday it's not the end of the world.

Portland to Vegas is a easy 2 day trip. We do the run all the time and always leave early the first day, eat a late lunch in Boise at CrackerBarrell, arrive around 8PM and stay the night in SLC, UT. The next morning sleep in and can still be in Vegas by early afternoon. We will be doing this trip again in 3 weeks. If towing a trailer the HWY 84 route then down 15 would be a piece of cake.

We live in Keizer, OR.

Why do you go that way from Keizer?

I am going that way on the way there, but coming home I will be coming up I-5 or through Nevada.

See this thread to see my trip itinerary?

You can do it easy in two days even with stoping for the kidos. My wife and I drove from Grants Pass, OR to Reno and from Reno through Vegas to Laughlin in two days pulling the 5er last October with plenty of time to visit casinos in Laughlin. Didn't hit any jackpots, but we had fun.

I agree with Grizzly. We drive from Gardnerville,NV to Grants Pass,OR easy in one day & we drive from Gardnerville to Vegas easy in one day. Add them together that makes two days. Easy trip & I don't drive that fast.

Alrighty then.

Not all but a lot of you say 2 days is enough.

My wife will get her way and we will spend two days in Vegas.

I will just be sure when she is tired of sitting in the truck on Sunday that it was her idea.

I can drive a long ways when I am by myself, it's passengers that put a damper on the time.
