Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 227,000 miles, should this be a concern?

Hey all,

I just had a better clutch and flywheel installed at the Local AAMCO transmission place. When I dropped off the truck, the climate direction control (floor, mix, ac, dash, defrost, etc) worked like it was supposed to. When I picked it up today, every position on the control panel for the direction blew through the defrost vent ONLY #@$%!. WTH????? Any ideas out there? Thanks

Kind Regards,

John

You have lost vacuum somehow and the climate control will automatically default to defrost position. Check the vacuum line going under driver battery to the cruise control. Good Luck, Moe

I don't know about 01 but my 98 has a vacuum switch on the transfer case that controls the cad on the front axle. They could have left off the vacuum line going to your transfer case creating a big vac. leak.

turns out that when changing the flywheel, they bumped a line and it disconnected. I brought it there today and it is fixed... . thanks again all.....

Regards,

john
