during highway driving at same speed under constant load i would get this vibrating sound and i can feel it as a rubbing vibration ...

Now if i let off the gas and let it coast a bit it goes away, but as soon as i give it gas not even 10 seconds later it will start again... its not constant, it has that vibration sound 2 or 3 times/sec but its RPM dependant if higher RPM it hapens more times/second.

I don't know what it could be but it seams like its coming fromt he front end. I wish i had a digital video cam or something to record the sound ...

believe it or not...

But I bet you have the cavitating water pump issue. When it cavitates, usually always under a good load, it causes the top coolant hose to jump around and bump into the hood or engine and cause the noise. We went through this about 1. 5 years ago. I forget the guy's name on here, but he's the expert on it.

Mine does this just a bit, too. Easy fix though!!!! DC has a replacement thermostat that stops the cavitation. If yours is the same thing, it kind of sounds like a tire going low and slapping the ground just a little (from lack of air pressure). First time I heard this I thought a tire was going flat while towing my 5'er up a steep hill in 4th gear (6 speed). I still haven't replaced the thermostat.

the vibration noise is definetely coming from a drivetrain i beleive or some part of it... definetely not thermostat or something like that. .

That's what I thought too. Its not the thermostat, its a hose getting tossed around under the hood. The new thermostat allieviates the cavitation, thus stopping the hose from being tossed around. I'm not saying this is your problem, but from your description, it sounds nearly identical to what we ran into some time back, and what mine does.

ok, now there are a lot of hoses, which one are you talking about?

however this vibrating sound is not a rubberish sounding rubb , but a metalic type of sound like as if a bearing is going out or something.

Really JyRO doesn't need a wizz quiz, alot of people have reported this type of problem and said no way when told it could be the thermostat only later to admit they were wrong, it's worth a check anyhow.

Thanks for the link Turbo Tim. Call me stoopid, but what is a wizz quiz and why don't I need it? Or maybe I do need it? :D

Oh yeah, from what I remember, its the top coolant hose leading to the thermostat. My truck is 600 miles away (and has been for 3 months), so I can't go look at it to tell if I'm right or wrong about which hose, or give you any better description.

Urinalysis, drug test, etc... Ya know not thinking straight... . :D

Gotcha! ;) PS - Yore mighty quick on the reply ... like Turbo quick. Reckon that's how U got yore name?

ok, and now the 100k waranty or is this the dodge 36k waranty that covers it? Its not a big deal about it being covered under waranty, i need to change the coolant anyways, haven't changed it for 2 winters and one summer.

Thank you for the link, i'm still skeptical because this sounds like a axle / bearing high speed out of ballance rubb. I'll take your word for it and will replace it and give it a shot. If it is that u get a cookie. . both of you!

Make mine chocolate chip! And my guess would be since the thermostat is assembled to the engine, it would be covered under powertrain (100,000 miles). Regardless, if you asked for the part number from the TSB, its bound to be cheap.

exactly my point... .

And since i have a dealer within a mile from my home, but i hate them and they wouldn't take my truck in for another month and i'm at 99,850 miles i'll have to go to a different dealer . . i hate some of those satanistic dealers. .

btw. . here #ad
