Clutch pedel. Possibly in the truck as a whole. I need to grab a truck simular and take it for a spin to see if I'm crazy :)

But the clutch pedel thing is defintly not right. Only when enguaged, just as you press down on things you feel the vibration. As the floor is reached everything is cool. I did have a Dodge Cumin's tech take my truck for a spin, he sugests everything is fine, just that the motor was giving a little feed back. Higher the RPM/load, more vibration felt.

As a side note, the drive shaft loop was busted a bit ago, and it was replaced. This issue came up after that I suspect. Could a slight imballance in that travel though the trans to the clutch things a bit?

Also, the shifter seems a little stiff too when things are wamred up. I have extreamly smooth and effort less shifting when things are warming up to normal temps, once I'm crusing on the eway, it takes a bit more, nothing extream, but a bit more effor to change gears. Is this normal?

I agree with cattletrkr. I had a similar vibe issue and I could have swore it was something to do with the front brakes and/or rotors. After installing the new binders and machining the rotors, the problem still persisted. I then took a suggestion from a TDR member here and inspected the rear u-joints. Sure enough, they were seized up tight. After replacement, my vibe had magically dissapeared!

It wouldn't hurt to have a look at them.

As for the somewhat stiff shifting, my 6 speed is like that as well. I've never really looked into it as it doesn't really bother me and I haven't noticed anything "out of the ordinary" with fluids, etc. You could try changing the transmission oil and see if that helps. I know that a few guys have had similar issues with stiffness and changing the oil seemed to help. I'll be swapping fluids in the next few thousand miles so I'll let you know if it makes a difference.

About the shifting...

The first thing that tipped me off to having a bad u-joint the last couple times was the shifting seemed funny. Can't really explain it only that something doesn't feel right and seems to get worse quickly. It's your truck and you drive it. If something doesn't feel the same as it did last week, don't let the dealer tell you everything's OK. You probably do feel something amiss. Diagnosing it, now that's the tricky part.

Well, seeing at the drive shat(s) are new... ... Maybe they were broke from the get go... I'll be having a differnet deal look at it then my normal one tuedays... . As well as any TSB's checked out.

As for the clutch. I'll have money soon for the southbend 1947 FE :)
