I had this same problem, but a little wrose 30,000 or so miles ago.
what happens is when I'm slowing down from 20mph - 0mph the rear end gets all jumppy. Before it was from 30mph - 0, no matter how you slowed down. Slam on the breaks, or coast slowlly. In gear or outa gear,
Me and the tech tried tire rottation, re surface the rotors, inspected every aspect we could. Finally the tech put it on the hoist and started the truck up and put it gear with the rear suspention dropped down and the truck just about bounced off the hoist!
So a close inspection of the drive saft was had and they replaced the entire thing. Problem solved.
So.....
So the other day the vibration is back, just not as bad. It tends to wanna get jumppy on road surfaces that are not "perfect". So, newly paved roads I can't get it to vibrate at all. This time, it will start at about 20mph to 0mph
Has this happened to anyone before?
What we saw that looked funky on the first drive shaft was the center mount looked "ripped", The rubber thing in the middle. That's why it was replaced. This time, it looks fine, looks a little loose tho, like it's easy to push around. but it doesn't look "broke"
I'm wondering if it's just u-joints that are acting up?
Possibly shocks are bad after 61,000 miles?
The center thing is broke again,
this should still be covered under warrenty right? heck, what about the front u-joints. I think I hear some "grinding" noises when I turn sharp at times.
