I'm more interested in his exhuast setup, I can't tell in the video but it's one of the best sounding ones I've heard for a 3rd Gen. Especially high up in the powerpand. It almost has that 7. 3 straight pipe Powerstroke sound up high in the power band.

That thing is bad. But I clicked on comments and somebody asked him what exhaust it was and he stated just 5" turbo back and that was it.

Damn I've seen it all now, a 3500 dually "drifting"... It's cool at the dyno days and to show off "A LITTLE BIT", but have you guys seen the guys on Speed Nopi tuner Vision? I've never seen anything as stupid...

It did appear as though he was about to take out the camera person a couple of times. On a side note he also has in the comments that, that is a company truck.

How would you like to go to work on Monday and explain to your boss how you wrapped his truck around a light pole... . :D

Chances are good if it was a 5" muffled exhaust it was probably the MBRP kit. Nice kit, I have a sold a few of them. Everyone has liked how they sound so far.

I knew it would happen!!! Soon one ton diesels will be drifting around the corners with the ricers and the day that happens is the day I become a drift fan. :D

No need. Just call a wrecker, tell 'em to tow it to your place of employment, with a note saying that you quit... :-laf

And thats a good thing how??

I know everyone has their own preferences, I think the Dodge/ Cummins trucks are superior in pulling, reliability and value. In contrast my best friends 7. 3L No-Cat all straight 4" from the hairdryer back is one of the most wicked sounding rigs on the road. It sounds like a cross between a top fuel dragster and a big block chevy un-corked. The Cummins engine noises are more pleasant than the Powerstrokes, but the noise that comes out the tailpipe on modified Powerstrokes is definitely more menacing, again not starting anything obviously I'm a die hard Dodge/ Cummins guy but I have never been a fan of the way a straight six sounds with any type of exhaust. Thats why my truck went back to stock in the exhaust dept. Also the truck in the video is the nicest sounding 3rd Gen I've heard.

Thats a pretty cool vid... Takes some skill not to rack up a 8000lb truck drifting it like that. Id do it in a wide open parking lot, not near poles like that guy though. .

The dually in the vid sounds straightpiped to me, 5" exhaust w/o muffler. I think the style of manifold on the 3rd Gen engines contributes to the exhaust bark since the outlet is not centered. It's not as noticeable on muffled exhaust since it doesn't resonate as much.

A modded Powerstroke whether a 7. 3 or 6. 0 with loud choppy exhaust sounds crapola to me. Might sound cool for a bit, but imagine how old that would get after listening to it for awhile.

I'm with you Vaughn

Powerstroke's sound as if they have a miss under hard throttle.

Mac

A close up of the rearend looks like he has bricks in the bed and the license plate is covered to hide it. Dumb!
