Void Sticker is now yellow paint

Just got my 2001 back from the dealer. Had the thermostat changed. It was getting hot.

I took the Plug and Power off before it went in. My 2001 was not one of the one's that had the yellow VOID sticker on it. Got the truck back and was going to install the BD back. Guess what!!! They had put yellow paint across the plug. When you pull the plug it broke the paint. Hummmm. Guess they thought that would keep someone from bombing. Well the paint comes right off with Gun Scrubber. Plugged the BD back in. What a bunch of idiots.

I was wondering if DC has not told the dealers to put this paint on the injector pump wiring or the dealer took it on himself to do this. Anyone else run into this lately ???

I don't know about the rest of you, but when the dealer puts ANYTHING like that on my vehicle without my permission, I throw a fit. If it doesn't come from the factory with a void sticker or paint, it had better not be there when I pick it up from the dealer. i had Herb Chambers Dodge pay for my tailgate to get buffed out when they took it upon themselves to put one of their dealer stickers on the tailgate. i didn't buy it from them and I am not a traveling billboard!!! It is amazing how these low-lives think they can do what ever they want to our rides. What's next... . will they padlock the hood?

you have got to be kidding , did you call them and ask what that was all about ? i would have drove right back in and had the service manager himself scrape the paint off .

No I have not thrown a fit yet. Thought I would cool down and do it tomorrow. Besides if I have to take it back for more work and they ask me what happen to the paint I can say " What Paint"? You mean you put paint on my truck??? Where???? When did you put paint on my truck??? Why did you put paint there??? That is not where the thermostat is is it???? Gee I'm so dumb. LMAO I feel better now. I'll get you updated if I do call them and ask them why they painted it.

Might even ask them what kind of paint they used so I can get some and make sure it does not come of accidently and they try and void my warranty.

Yup when I take mine in I tell them not to touch anything else other thant the problem with out talking to me first, I make that very clear.

5 bucks says i got that paint, usually its called anti sabatoge inspectors lacquer

its in yellow, used by nhra or so i heard, any way i think i gots the stuff

I put a big sticker under the hood of mine that simply reads

DO NOT MODIFY ECM!!!

I have a reflashed one from TST and no one has ever messed with it. Never denied warranty work either.
