Got the code of death, 70K Miles, Fuel Press always above 9psi,
mostly 12 psi.
Missed a shift ( Hit 6th instead of 4th on a down shift )
Bucked a few times and quite for an instant, before I could get the clutch in.
Checked codes, code of death ( ip Timing )
At 70k, I figure i might as well do the replace and save original as a spare. .
Advice on best rebuilds... .
Also, If I went to a HP pump ( like Sheid )would I still get good Fuel milage,
( 16-17 mpg with a 3k Truck camper at present )? I do not plan on doing any real
power upgrades, just the Smarty on level 3 now , and future 4 '' exhaust .
? And : Are the High HP IP's more or less reliable????
My first priority is reliability!!!! would like to get 100k mils out of the next IP. .
Note: With the Smarty, I notice the throttle is quite sensitive on rough roads, and when lugging ( wrong gear ) ;
bouncing truck, bouncing foot, and low RPM , the truck really bucks and jumps.
Could this set a code without any mech problems with the IP?????
