I look to get and install the Vulcan big line pusher pump system. With my truck being a 2000 and having to mount my fuel pressure sending unit at the injection pump, will this be a problem with installing the Vulcan? Also, I read in one post where this was got for $89. 00 but did not say where? Thanks

Don

Don, just give Eric a call at Vulcan Performance. He will answer any questions you have. He includes a tapped fitting that you use for your sending unit. He's very helpful. I bought my kit in December... took about 3 hours to install in a VERY cold shop... LOL

I just installed my Vulcan pusher kit this weekend and love it. Also replaced the lift pump and back up to good pressure. They are also thinking about making a different set of fittings with the AN ends on them. If they do, I will surely be upgrading as I would rather have that than the hose clamp fittings. I don't have any problems with the hose clamp fittings, just want a piece of mind. :D

Don't have to drop the tank. The new pump location is on the frame rail in front of the tank. You have to cut the original line from the tank, and connect the new rubber fuel line to it with a hose clamp. It's a bit messy... . be sure and cover yourself with shop rags while cutting. Do NOT use any abrasive cutting method... . get a tubing cutter! Diesel is flammable. All this is covered in the instructions that come with the kit.

Also wait till your fuel level is down to a 1/4 or less and that will reduce the flow preasure prior to cutting the line.
