Bschwarzli: Hmm, 2 bags... what ever happened to the other 2? Did you use the other 2 to air ride your lazyboy chair in the house?:-laf:-laf:-laf

The rear bags replace the shackle at the back of the springs.
The front bags are helpers with some of the leafs removed.
I just bought the truck last week, so I'm still learning about them.
The gauges say "AirLift" on them, but they do not make that kind of kit.
They told me I must have a Kelderman kit in the rear.
I'm trying to find out who made them.

No. The other two are on their own systems. I only need your hot air for the big rear bags. :D

As much progress as he's made on the truck I would say that Lazyboy is getting a work out. :D

Listen here you!!!#@$%!

Yes, that is a Kelderman system. That was the original system I looked into for the crew but as it would not allow be to load increase the rear of the truck so my system is what they ended up making.

Your system is the standard offering for a 1st ten and apparently makes the truck ride smooth. :)

Bschwarzli: Ok, I'll use my hot air to pump up the bags. (Huffing and Puffing, Huffing and Puffing)... ... ... . Pssssssss ssss sss ss s!!!

Er... ... The bags have a hole in them Bschwarzli. Better do as HHhuntitall says and get them fixed.

Looks just like that.
As far as a smoother ride...
The previous owner tried to use it to lift the rear a little, so the rear bags were at a funky angle.
As for the front, some of the leafs were removed, I can't put enough air in the bag to make the front springs at least flat!
So, yeah...

As for the recliner joke, I couldn't pass that up. Someone left the door WIDE OPEN! :D

By the way, the 4-link is what I would rather have.
I can't find anything for pre 93 on Kelderman's site. Did you call them and special order your stuff?

Kelderman has made 2 4 link systems. One is on Mr Kelderman's old 93, one is on mine. You will not find a listing for it, and the sales folks won't know anything about it! :-laf

Does that help? To answer your question, yes. It was custom built for my specific application right down to being for a 1st ten but for a 2nd ten Dana 80... .

So, how many knee pads do I have to go through to figure out how to get one of those?
(Or, I would be willing to build my own, I just don't know where to start. )
I'm a technical kinda guy. The only articles I can find for 4 link setups are for rock crawling or racing, neither of which I will be doing in this truck.
Those same articles have listed a few books, I just haven't gotten serious enough to buy them yet.

HHhuntitall: I tried to fill up the w350 air bags but they have a hole in them from being flat for 7 years. So I told Bschwarzli what you said earlier to get them fixed. :-laf:-laf:-laf

Try calling Jeff the owner. See what you can work out with him. Maybe he will build another.

If not, then pull out the knee pads. :D

... I'll bet an old goat chewed on the air lines..... :D You can't keep those suckers indoors... .

NO, NO, NO!!!! Pull out the MIG Welder!!! If you've got much mechanical experience, you should do fine. Keep it square to the frame, perpendicular in travel, and practice your welds!! It can't be any worse than some of the Jeeps I see running around!?!? If you break it, figure out why, and don't do that again! What's the worse that can happen?!?! You have to haul it home from somewhere? That's half the fun! :-laf

... What's the worse that can happen?!?!...

Well, lets see...
Hopefully I will sell the 06 soon, which means I won't have another truck to tow it home. I have a few buddies, but I hate asking for help. (Stubborn)

As far as what can happen: Towing something, around the cliff edged windy roads that I love so much on my bike, and the wrong joint breaks and I roll off of the cliff with my tailer in tow.

There wouldn't be much to tow home. #@$%!

Maybe I'll install a remote control air valve in the w350. That way while he's driving, and I'm near by, I'll press the button and the bags will go flat. Or press another button and the goat's butt will be in the air about 3 ft higher than normal ride height. :-laf:-laf
