W350 Crew Cab - The ultimate first gen - Pics and history

The other day a customer who has been working on an 83 crew cab short box 4 x 4 brought his truck to work to show me it. I knew he had a 2nd gen drive train in it - no big surprise right. When I went out and looked at it the front axle looked different. The body was all 1st gen, but he had actually mounted the body on a 2nd gen chassis. That I like - 1st gen looks and 2nd gen ride and power. Different. Sorry I didn't have a camera handy. Shad

And how will it save money?!?! It's only 1627 miles to my HeadQuarters from Ontario, and it's over 2500 to LA!!!!! That's a 1,000 miles!!! And there are less witnesses where I'm going!!!! (Unless you count cows..... )
