I haven't heard about any walbro failures here so maybe I'm the first. I've had mine on for about a year. The last 3 months I've noticed the pump becoming noisier. First intermitantly and for the last month constantly. During this time the fuel pressure has stayed consistantly between 15-18 psi.

When I noticed the problem, I had just started the truck this morning and saw no fuel pressure. I thought it might be the gauge but when I turned off the truck and turned the key ON, the pump didn't come on. There was no change in the way the truck ran at an idle or at a high idle. I didn't drive it except into the garage so I don't know if there would have been a noticeable problem or if the truck would have died if I had taken it on the road.

The cp3 must have been able to pull enough fuel through the failed walbro.

The good news is, I happened to buy a spare walbro 3 months ago when the noise started so I was able to replace it quickly. Luckily I was at home when it happened.

i had one go out on me. was in use only about a month when it happend. its starting whinning cosistantly getting louder. then fuel pressure would drop. on the highway my fuel pressure normally was about 18psi. all of a suddent going up a slight hill (truck empty) the pressure dropped to 10 then slowly came back up to normal. then as a few hills past the pressure drop was greater and greater until it hit 0psi. truck never missed a beat. the pump got very loud to where i could hear it over the motor. so in the rest area i just unlpluged it and plugged the factory pump back in and was on my way. glacier sent me a new one and had it in for 2 months now with no issues at all. very quiet and consistant pressure.

yes i had the filter they gave with the kit installed since the start. its to easy not to do it. lol. my second pump is working perfectly so i would not hesitate recomending them.

My lift pump went out on Friday. I removed it and have driven over 370 miles with no lift pump. The cp3 can and will suck the fuel that it needs. I am seriously thinking about a Walbro. Nice to hear that GDP takes care of their customers.
