Want BETTER Brakes??? I never felt my 15 DRW had the greatest brakes.

I had done the 3rd gen upgrade to my 01 Sport using EBC OrangeStuff pads and EBC rotors. Also used PowerStop cradles and calipers all 03-09 spec. Brakes are AMAZING!!!

So I thought I would try a set of the EBC OrangeStuff pads on the front of my 15 DRW. I thought I would save a few $$$ jacked up the front removed a tire and went OH S*#T. Can't simply remove the rotor like on my 01.

Take truck to my trusty shop with pads in hand. They pulled off the calipers and turned the rotors on the truck and installed the EBC pads. They even used the Prematex lube I supplied. $195 out the door I go, the mechanic had done a test drive just before. INSTANTLY without the pads being broken in the braking was improved. I did a bit of freeway/town driving then hooked up the 24k RV with MC trailer behind and hit the road from NW WA to SoCal. Braking was good towing.

Result??? AWESOME braking, this is with just doing the fronts. Next Spring when i get back to the NW the EBC's will be going on the rear for even better braking!

And here we are again....

These are NOT EBC Orange Stuff - these are EBC Extra Duty. Something completely different.
Me I dont understand the nomenclature from EBC, till now all pads have been color coded and named, and now they brought this new Pads for Trucks and called them "Extra Duty" while painting them Orange like the Race Pads - totally stupid British thing. Should have made them purple or any other color then Orange.

Check the Partnumber on the Invoice, guids one to the Extra Duty.

EBC Orangestuff Extra-Duty Light Truck and SUV Brake Pads ED91847

They are BOTH called 9000 series.

I agree they could have separated them better! Bottom line they are AWESOME!!!

I also installed the YellowStuff pads on my MobileSuites RV with disk brakes, AWESOME!!!

EBC does not have the word orange on the product page... So yes, different brakes and makes a lot more sense as they are not OrangeStuff brakes.

A quick google search with the PN shows that Summit has them incorrectly labeled, but other vendors do not. Summit also doesn't have a very good price on them right now, nearly $40 more than Amazon today, but same price as was paid in the OP.

I consider the Extra Duty Pads for my truck next time because I'm so heavy now that I'm not so happy anymore with the brake performance.

My Class 8 at home stopped from 55mph within 130 feet, fully loaded, that's my personal benchmark.
