I'm running a stock 2001 ETH except for a 4 inch exhaust. I do have gauges and pull a 21 foot, 9000 lb. toy hauler. I will climb a grade and inch the EGTs to over 1200 degrees. I want more power but more power equals more heat. My next upgrade would be an AFE stage 2 air filter, then an Edge Comp box because I like the idea of turning it off completely if needed. My next part would involve injectors and possibly a larger turbo. I have a BD turbo mount exhaust brake and don't want to loose that to a turbo upgrade if possible. Is this the right path? My question is, if I do these upgrades, can I pull the grades faster and still keep the EGTs safe? I hear alot of talk about guys having to back off the GO pedal, so they don't plant the temperatures into the melting zone, but if I have to do that, will I still be pulling the grades at the same speed as I am doing now in stock form? I'm soooo confused...

If you want more power, you need more fuel. It will require more air or it will get hotter, so you need a better/bigger turbo. Just go to twins and some bigger injectors. Also the box you mentioned is good.

You forgot to ask about the clutch. You will need one soon!!!!

Do a search on the twins. Plenty of reading.

The comp box comes with a boost elbow which will allow the stock turbo to produce more boost. The comp box also acts as a boost fooler (even when off), so that you will not set a boost code, and the computer won't defuel because of the extra boost. When I was just running the comp box (without the pump wire hooked up), it would actually run a little cooler then it did when it was stock. With the Mach 1. 5's I tow with the box on 1x1 and then when I hit the big hills I just turn off the comp box, or use the right foot a little to control EGT's. On the flat the EGT's are actually lower with the comp box on 1x1, then with it off.
