thanks

Just one man's humble opinion... . you are CRAZY to try this yourself.

I guarantee you that Piers messed up a few heads getting it right. I highly doubt that you guys are going to get the program right the FIRST time.

swankmetal Dave,

Can't be rocket science if you can get the machining done and can get the parts.

Can't help you more than lend moral support!!

mike o, you aren't the first. but so far, i've done all the work myself and i would like to continue that trend. i've got a pretty unique fab shop, and my buddy is an extremely talented machinist.

j, thanks.

now i just need to get the part # for a marine headgasket. anybody?

If you want to 0-ring it yourself, give me a call and I'll tell you what spec's to set it up for. Don't know why Mark said we would not sell you the parts, it's just high quaility piano wire & we gots lots in stock. The dimensions & torque procedure are the critical pieces.

Swankmetal-

As far as I know, all the head gaskets are marine, or marine duty. Guess that makes production easier- have just one line of gaskets. Someone correct me if I am wrong, and they have a seperate line of marine duty HGs.

Cummins P/Ns as of summer 03 are- stock thickness:3283335; . 010" over-3283337; . 020" over-3283339
