I am looking at buying some gauges for my 06 that way when SMARTY comes out for it i'm ready Oo. Oo. ... Anyway i have been doing some research and have read some of the forums on TDR and others and have been noticing some people are having problems with there Di-pricol optix... :-{} ... Can anyone elaborate on this any?

Are they good gauges? are they having problems with them? Whats a good set of gauges?

I like ISSPRO's but dont like having to deal with all the amplifier boxes with them.

I have had autometer Phantoms and really liked them alot.

But i really like the Di pricol optix alot(look good).

Please give me some feedback on these THANKS.

I only have experience with DiPricols and the install was very straight forward, tapped the dash dimmer wire to dim the gauges and wire the gauges as per the instructions. Use the power for the cigarette lighter as a source for switched power.

Easier than denting the fins on your A/C condenser :)

I had the Dipricol white face EGT and 35psi boost guages. Wanted a 60psi that matched the EGT, but could only find the Optix. Bought the 60psi and a fuel pressure guage. Wow! Nite and day difference between the egt and boost guages in the dark. I love the Optix!

I got mine from member Blacksheep4x4, really (low) good price and good guy to deal with.

BD Digital, I like the fact that a quick glance is all you need to see the 2 temps and boost. I can pre-set max temps/boost, then if I hit one the gauge will flash "alert" to notify me. This allows me to pay attention to driving rather than gauge watching. The big plus was that I could keep the grab handle! I found that Geno`s had the best price that I could find.

I have the DiPricol's and am happy with them. The trans temp gauge lighting is not consistent with the pyro and boost gauges - it has a notable purple tint to the light that really can't be adjusted out with a dimmer, but it's something I can live with. I don't know if any thing has changed since I bought mine a few months ago, but the harness with the inline dimmers is NOT included with the gauges as it should have been, so that adds another $60+ to the cost of the gauges. You'll need the dimmers because the led lighting will be too bright otherwise and the dash dimmer circuit is not fine enough to dim the led's to where you'd probably need them. Overall, they work very well and look great.

I am gonna buy some gauges and am needing to know what i need for a complete install on the electric fuel pressure gauge?

1. Gauge

2. Banjo bolt?(which one and where shoulf i install at?

3. ????

doughboy21kd,

Whatever you do DON"T get auto meter NV gauges. :{

They are way to bright.

BUT THE EGT GUAGE DOESN"T FUNCTION ALL THE TIME ! ! ! :(

Ive talked to the AM guys at IRP, they checked my gauge. They gave me new install wiring harness to replace mine. BUMMER

It didn't work any better. Now I'm looking to R & R the gauges myself. :--)

Thanks for the thread.

Question On Gauges

Hi All,

I bought a set of gauges for my 99 and never installed them. I've been thinking of getting a dually, probably a newer one than my 99. What years are the same, and would my gauges work?

Thanks... . Jeff
