I have a cracked exhaust manifold on a 99 24v. Truck was hit an a traffic accident Dec 13th , just got it back from the body shop yesterday. To the dealer today to check on manifold replacement, not related to wreck. Warranty expired on time Dec. 17th. I guess I should have seen about it sooner, knew time was running short even before the wreck. Anyhow, feeling kinda bummed. :{ :{ :{

If your truck has less then 100,000 miles on it, and you don't have any big mods on it, the dealer should replace it under the 100,000 mile engine warranty.

If you're over 100k or have lots of mods, then definitely go with the ATS. The only reason I'd go with the stock manifold would be if it was free.

99,500 on it, no engine mods. I think the reason I can’t get the freebee is because the 5 yrs ran out Dec. 17th. 5 yrs or 100k, whichever gets ya first, right?

I do remember reading a few posts about the ATS leaking a little at the joints, any truth to that?

I’m guess the best remedy for tonight might be a margarita! :D

Thanks ……………

oh, I have a local Cummins dealer but I suppose that would be the same manifold I have now?

Yup. In fact a coupe of ATS trucks at their shop have them welded together. Bear in mind these are their beefed up trucks with twins and what not, but they can leak.
