What are you doing putting 100K miles on the truck in 11 months?

I had 93K in 9 months on my 03 when it got stolen :(

Traveling From Texas to Wyoming to Michigan to Kentucky to Oklahoma to Lowsyana delivering oilfield equipment.

80% of these miles are towing a 8,500 lb gooseneck (empty weight) + loads weighing in as much as 15,000 lbs.

If you look at the oil filed hot shot industry here in S. Texas and Louisiana you'll find that at least 80-90% of all the trucks being used are Dodges.

Why?

Cummins.

I bought a 04 3500 for our dealership to resell that has 286,000 on the clock! the owner ran hotshot with his wife for it's entire life.

wore out

I have had my 2004. 5 since august of 2004, and at present count it has 10,308. At this rate, I believe that it will rust out before it wears out... lol

286k! I thought the 35k on my dad's year old 04. 5 was high!

My 12 valver is going to start climbing pretty quick though, in the 5 months I've owned it I've put 10k on it, but then I got a new job... I just started doing 120 miles/day just to work and back.

re.

My neighbor has a 2002 auto with 646,000 miles on it,and it has the stock transmission in it,never been touched. He hauls campers from Ind. to every where in the USA.

646,000 miles!!!!

If he bought his truck in mid summer of 2001 - he has averaged 442 miles per day.

442 miles per day x 365 days per year x 4 years = 646,000.
