Competition Wastegate for a B1

Ive recently permanantly disabled my jammer turbo. I was quite fond of its power and new eventually the boost i was putting on it would cause it to fail. I now have a kwikspool b1 on the truck and i really like the responsivness but the motor really seems to strain in the upper rpms. Im assuming that is because i have a non-wastegated turbo and the motor is straining against back pressure. is there someone who knows where i can get a wastegate for this turbo. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'd be careful with a KSB1 if you already toasted a Jammer. The KS housing is smaller than the one you had on your Jammer and will easily overspeed your compressor. You could send the turbo back to TAD and get them to put on a regular wastegated B1 housing or you could get an external WG like a 38mm TiAL and pipe it in. The cost will probably be the same no matter which way you go.

Several members here and DTR have tuned external wastegates with their B1 turbos. Jetpilot here and rjohnson on DTR have found ~45# to be the sweet spot. Anything over that is getting hot and losing HP. The 38mm Tial is SWEET, I have one but I'm waiting to fab up an extra exhaust manifold to mount it.
