Water in fuel light on after filter change

I just changed my fuel filter on my 94, and now the water in fuel light is on.



The sending unit is only about a year old.



I did a search, and tried some of the other suggestions like diaelectric grease on the connections, and draining the filter,but the light is still on.



I did use some engine cleaner and hosed off the area to clean the fuel I spilled.



Should I be concerned, or just hope the light goes off by itself

?

Its probably wet.

Every time I wash my engine the WIF light stays on a day or two. If I get tired of seeing it on ,I'll unplug it for a day to speed the drying process. No big deal.

Happens to me also. It's just water shorting the connector.

OK. Thanks for the responses. Hopefully it goes out soon, or I guess I'll just unplug it for now.
