Does anyone have a part number for a 1996 water-in-fuel sensor? I took my truck to a diesel mechanic the other week and he said that I had been missing this sensor. Thanks

If I leave this off is it doing any harm? Also thanks for the welcome this forum looks to be one of the better one's. I look forward to learning a lot from this group! :)

The only way you could be missing it is you are using a fuel filter without the place to screw it into the bottom of the filter.

If you get to much water in the fuel it can be bad for injection pump and injectors.

The sensor warns you when there is to much water is in the fuel.
