Posted above before I looked at yours. Ask the station to show a Veeder Root before and after the drop. And make sure you know when you filled you truck. I really dont expect the station owner to admit that HE WAS THE PROBLEM do you???? his insurance will jump just like yours. The time and date will be on the veeder root slip the first is what was in the tank before the drop (volume) then there are a few more lines of info that you or he wont under stand. The ones that I would like to know is volume before drop of fuel volume after drop of fuel water in tank before and after and 90% udellage before and after and fuel amount increase if you could get that info you have his BALLS IN A VICE and your the one spinning the wrench. If he wont show them to you tell him that a subpoena will make him show them its his option along with going to the new paper he will be glad to avoid the bad press. Ive seen people park the car with 4x8 sheets of plywood telling of the problem out in front of stations and cars just turn and go next door. GEE I HOPE THIS DOESNT MAKE ME SOUND LIKE AN UNFATIHFULL FORMER EMPOYEE OF MAJOR OIL DOES IT:-laf:-laf WHAT BRAND FUEL WAS IT?

If you used credit card or debit card you should be able to get a record of fueling up at the station if you did not get a reciept.

I don't think Dodge should of voided the whole truck warranty. Maybe temporarly voided fuel system until replaced.

Seems they don't like in bed tanks because the fuel mite not get used fast enough (diesel and water seems to go together espeially when diesel sits around).

different fuel station but supplied diesel from the same delivery trucking company that delivers fuel to local fuel stations.

See if the same truck dropped fuel at all stations did truck pick up at same rack did truck get washed out from last prod to avoid fuel contamination. COULD HAVE LEFT SOME WASHOUT WATER IN COMPARTMENT. With the truck and drivers there are a tremendous amount of problems with drivers that DONT GIVE A I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER about it because they dont fuel there.

A little off subject here but YOU PRO UNION GUYS the above is what I meen about slackers. Both pro and against union drivers JUST DONT CARE. I was told by my Dad the day I left home. A way to judge a mans character is by how he does his job when he thinks no one is watching. Words that I have always remembered. I will get off my soap box now I hope any of my blabbering has helped because you should not have to pay for this. Your fuel more than likely came out of the Huston refinery and from my limited experience with them I found their product to be of good quality. I dont think the Major oil is your problem the station is my bet but wouldn't discount a carrier trucking company either. I worked for a major and was proud to do my job. Now drivers have out priced themselves and another element of non professional drivers have taken over. Not all but allot of them DONT CARE.

I feel like there is still water in the injector system and there is some type of safe guard to keep the water from entering the injectors so when you try to crank the truck the injectors fail to a open curcuit. Does anyone have any input on my theory?

There is a safeguard. It is built into the fuel/water seperator, but it is only so effective. Water is chemically different than diesel, and when put under the kind of pressure we use in the HPCR Cummins, it turns to steam almost instantly and goes to work like a plasma torch on your injector nozzle seats. The tolerances in the HPCR cummins is minimal, and ANY kind of foreign material will cause problems, including transmission fluid and other oils not designed to actually stay in suspension while in the diesel. Once any water is beyond the fuel/water seperator, it's probably already done it's damage. A full drain and flush is necessary, and usually an injector test. Rarely does water get that far and not practically nuke almost all the injectors..... sorry. It's the physics behind it. Dodge/Ram has become like most goverment entities, they don't care about their constituents until it's time for them to need their support. Or they're forced to by law and a court of law and a panel of lawyers who are really the only ones that come out ahead... . that's the danger in buying a new vehicle in today's market... .

Just curious how would water in the fuel cause the injectors to show open in the ECM???? I could see them sticking open but the solenoid side shoulkd not be affected.

Just to show ya how sensitive the veeder root equipment is I called a buddy in CA that still works (poor guy :-laf) He sent me the entire process that the system sees during a fuel drop. of 6600 gal of 87 & 1900 gal 91 no diesel was dropped. As I see this the guy dropped the 91 first # 1 is the beginning veeder root. #2 he dropped the 91 and #3 shows the increase in 91 product of 1864/1852 in actuality he had 1900 gal of 91 gross and 187o net on the BOL. then he dropped the 87 #1 start #4 is total drop of 87 BOL said 6600/87 and 6578 net. total 87 drop was 6575. Some of the difference is because of pressure in tank and temp of fuel in tank vs temp of fuel in truck. Is pretty darn close. Some of the so called EINGENEER TYPES on this site can spout off some magnificent mathematical equation to confirm the temp and pressure difference. But because of my limited 12 grade education I used the old and true method of figuring out I TRIED TO BY-PASS THE CUSSING FILTER. WHEN THE BOTTON SENSOR LIGHT GOES OUT AND THE SIGHT GLASS HAS NO FUEL IN IT'S EMPTY!!!! Look at the water vol and inches it reads 0 because in Ca they have no water problems. I dont know how WA/OR and some of the other states can work because ive seen so much water in tanks up there that it was wrong for me to drop fuel it would have been a con-tam load. It even gives the temp. So for your station to say that they cant or dont have the technology to do this BS its nation wide. Even uncle goobers worm and bait farm in the swamps and sells bait beer gas have to have this system. If you cant read the sheet I can blow it up but on my 27 in monitor its readable # 5 is finish reading of veeder root.
