Competition NHRDA race #2 @ Mission Raceway

I am now having some EGT problems and want your take on water injection, I am thinking about a two stage system stage one to start at about 20-25# and stage two to start at about 30-35# and that should cover me to 50# of boost. I will appreciate any comments good or bad and any results you have had with water injection.

Bruce talk to Al at PDR about it, he has a guy that wants to build a diesel setup and needs a test truck, I will be giving him tips on the amounts of water and were to put it, I've done allot of testing on this and have had mine for several months now! I built my own and I shoot ALLOT of water into it but knock 200-250 degrees out of the EGT's and 50 degrees out of the air temp at the hat, mine is a one step deal and comes on with a hobbs switch at 30 psi. Caution though, water makes no noticeable power that I can tell.

Scheid has a setup... .

I have seen pics - looks very beefy.

Pulling tractors have used this for years, and Scheid has been with them every step of the way.

Matt

Nothing against them but I have 1/5th of the cost in my setup! There system is extreme using a high pressure pump and a starter motor to run the pump... ... Extreme Water Injection was the post I put up with those pics of there system.

Jim

Jim: Did you talk about your system in the Extreme Water Injection thread? If so, I'll have to check that out..... if not - feel free to start talking. :)

Matt

Nope, Matt I haven't talked about it at all on the open form, there are a few folks that know about it and that is fine, I got some ideas from other folks on the TDR and talked to a vendor but it's not like his system we were just talking flow rates and I told him I was going to build it myself, it was actually just an idea that it would work and it did and I now have it refined. Al@PDR wanted me to market it but I just have too much going on to mess with it, there is a little money to be made but no enough to worry about!

Water Injection

Dslram, I would have been happy to show you what I did on my truck. Everything is in the bed on my racer.

HVAC:

I am getting a handle on the EGT temps but still need help. Smoke is down since I call and talked to Piers and did what he suggested. Maybe we can get together at a dyno meet or somewhere in the future.

Thanks
