My 1995 2500 has almost 286K on the odometer. Had a water leak in the cab just after we purchased it new back in '95. Fixed under warranty. No problems since. Just noticed within the past two weeks that I have had wet/damp carpet on the passenger floorboard under my Husky floor mat. Anybody know of a good aftermarket/or OEM maker of door weather stripping? Am I missing anything other than the door weather stripping to replace to fix this leak?

Thanks much,

On my 96', it was a problem with the aftermarket rear slider glass and problems with the windshield seal. The windshield seal was leaking along the driver and passenger side. I used sealant along the outside edges on the outside of the windshield. Some people also have problems with the third brake light. I removed all of the seats and carpet. Had the wife use low pressure water hose along the entire outside area of the cab. This quickly revealed all of the leaks. While the carpet and seats were out I steam cleaned them and allowed everything to properly dry. I also added some insulation to help deaden the noise.

On my 01 It was the 3rd brake light gasket. It had shrunk from being in the sun for all those years. I replaced it and also sealed it with silicone and no problems since.

It could be the ac drain. The silicone around the drain dries out, the water from the drain gets blown back on the fire wall and enters the cab. Mine did this, a long heater hose(5/8) took care of the problem. You can also can buy a 90 degree hose I believe from NAPA. If your good at searching you should be able to get the part no.

A/C drain hose can be bought from Napa, part #9808 which has a molded 90* at one end & fits the A/C drain perfect.
Check the drain for any obstruction before installing hose.
