Vaughn,
No doubt about the exact science. My thermometer on my truck is only off by about 2 to 4 degrees max.
Cummins Pilot,
I have seen it a heck of a lot colder than -60 in Fairbanks. Just cause the airport doesn't get that cold doesn't mean other areas of Fairbanks doesn't. When we lived off of Freemen road in 89 or 90 the thermo hit a - 78. Even with a 10% error that is still alot colder than -60. It was so cold that the only way my 4x4 would move was to leave it in 4 wheel drive when you shut it off the night before and then you still had to rock it to get it to move. Heck, out at Eielson our thermometer outside the shop will show -65 while base weather says that it is only
-38. Something messed up there. Our thermometer isn't off by that much. By the way, did you make that meeting that they were going to have at the sears parking lot for a get togeather for a club organization?
