Oil change

Injectors??? Black Smoke.

How much pressure is your lift pump providing?
You can insert clear tubing at various points in the fuel line to test the line upstream.
When you find a place with no bubbles, the problem should be immediately downstream from there.

Not sure on lift pump pressure, but I verified that it was working and pumping some amount of fuel up to the filter/cp3. Unfortunately I've been waiting on some alignment dowels for my flywheel housing to mate up to the back of the engine block so I can finish installing my new clutch, but from everything I've read so far, it looks like my injectors really might be the issue here. Still not sure about the bubbles. The only time they appeared was coming off of the CP3 return. Everywhere else was steady flow

Ok, so I think its solved. Ended up giving Todd at T&C Diesel a call and after a long conversation about the symptoms and what I've done so far, he suggested replacing the CP3. Took a gamble and so far it seems to have solved the issue. I have to take the truck out of town tomorrow so that will be the real test, but so far, none of the issues that I was having earlier
