15,000 miles on 2005 4x4 truck w/automatic transmission - stock 48RE. MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) on ~ again. Went to dealership with the same symptoms at 5,000 miles & 14,000. DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) P1753. Replaced the Transmission Throttle Valve Actuator and all was fine - until now. Vehicle sluggish & revs higher before shifting. Now it's dead & needs replacement again!

Problem is NOW THEY'RE NOT AVAILABLE...

Apparently there are 93 requests for this part nationwide & they are on backorder. "No problem though" the Service Manager says, "Your warranty will cover your rental for however long it takes". I say, "That's Super, You mean I can keep Enterprise's 2 year old little Hyundai sedan even longer?" "That's what they gave you?" "Going to be tough to tow my duck boat with that, I said. "

Ya Gotta Luvitt.

Sounds like this has the potential to be an issue for anyone with an 05 48RE transmission.

At 16,000 miles - '05 4x4 48RE, MIL again (4th time) Code P1753. On 3rd Throttle Valve Actuator (which are still on national back-order) ~ this time Transmission Valve Body was replaced. LEMON LAW candidacy requirements met, but hopefully this is now resolved.

I haven't had any problems with my '05 and I have 10,000+ miles on mine. Maybe you should try the Lemon Law. I know in Michigan, you only have the first year of ownership to do the lemon law thing.

At 26k and no problems at all, and I haven't babied it. I suppose thats one of those parts they just replace and NO info on what is going wrong with it. May be the VB will cure it.

Other than the TV actuator, any other issues? :)
