15,000 miles on 2005 4x4 truck w/automatic transmission - stock 48RE. MIL (Malfunction Indicator Light) on ~ again. Went to dealership with the same symptoms at 5,000 miles & 14,000. DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) P1753. Replaced the Transmission Throttle Valve Actuator and all was fine - until now. Vehicle sluggish & revs higher before shifting. Now it's dead & needs replacement again!
Problem is NOW THEY'RE NOT AVAILABLE...
Apparently there are 93 requests for this part nationwide & they are on backorder. "No problem though" the Service Manager says, "Your warranty will cover your rental for however long it takes". I say, "That's Super, You mean I can keep Enterprise's 2 year old little Hyundai sedan even longer?" "That's what they gave you?" "Going to be tough to tow my duck boat with that, I said. "
Ya Gotta Luvitt.
Sounds like this has the potential to be an issue for anyone with an 05 48RE transmission.
