Competition sled pulling = hard on pilot/throwout bearings?

Sunday I happened to be at NHRA track Pacific Raceway (was Seattle International Raceway) in Kent WA, and witnessed a white 2WD Cummins throw down an 11. 12 @ 127mph with 1. 9 60' (and . 005 R/T).   Not bad for the first run of the year.

Looks like there's a new top "dog"... :D

WOW..... that is awesome, that rascal didn't tell me about that just said he had some pics for me to see..... yes he is quiet but did allot last year..... freakin' 127 MPH... ..... that is allot of HP.

Jim

OK jim

what does the mph convert to in hp, just rough numbers?? I suppose it kinda matters on the weight of the truck too? or not so. Inform this guy who plays in the dirt!!

His truck and Joe Hellman's should be about the same give or take a bit, Joe does 120 MPH with 660 HP... ..... I'd say that White truck is past me..... or were I was... ... I never tell all.

Jim

That's cool Jim, I just thought there was an equation, certain speed, and it comes to roughly a HP. I understand not telling all, it is sometimes more fun to leave to the imagination, and let others just wonder!!

World Record

So I take it we are talking about Mr. Bill Fletcher. Great Job to who did that.

Just to clear the air and to stop the emails coming into the DHRA, this is not a DHRA record. Richard still holds the speed and ET records.

To set the record in that area Geoff Thomas can be contacted at -- email address removed --.

Dyno numbers, yes Gary. 20% at least.

I think the dragstrips all down hill out there. My local strip is uphill. :(

Last year for pulling, maybe, time to drag, since noone else is.
