Westac Fuel Pressure Gauge?

Ordered and recieved Geno's westac fuel pressure gauge. Looks like you just mount the sender directly the the ports on the filter housing. Has any one done it differently? Which port is pre and which is post on the 98. 5. I was a little disappointed with the short wires that came with it.

Yes you mount the sender to one of the ports. The port that is most forward is 'post'.

Just heat up your soldering iron and get out the wire stretcher. Finished up my install tonight, so far working great, just don't drop the nuts for the sending unit. But at least it was an excuse to go to the hardware store!

I mounted mine on brackets made from alun. Used fuel hose to conncct, rather than having the sending unit on the on the fuel lines. Thought the sending unit would cause stress on it from the vibrations.

Just hooked up mine yesterday. I ordered directly from Westach, as I wanted the 16 psi unit with warning LED and relay output. Same sender.



Spoke with Vern at Westach about the durability of the sender on our application. He said it should hold up just fine on the fuel filter housing.

2 WOT higher RPM

12-14 idle

Got it mounted Sunday after giving up on Saturday because of bad or out dated instructions.

11. 5 psi @ idle

9 psi @ WOT

10-11 @ cruising 65-75 mph
