dash removal, how?

Does anyone have some pictures of the Westach Combo guage (boost pyro) on the A pillar mount? I'm especially looking for a night time picture. I like the looks of the Isspro guages at night, however I like the idea of keeping the stock grab handle and only having one guage.

thanks

I'm right with you there... like the looks of the Issopro but the combo Westach has more info and looks fine. I used the Mopar A pillar to keep the grab handle. Takes a little time to learn to see both needles at a glance but no big deal. Only one LED light but it does the job well at night. I'll try to get a pic but my digital camera is not good in low light.

Mark,

Do you have the green back light, or just the white back lite? Just wondering if the green light will match the dash lights? Thanks for all the responses.

Thanks for the picture, it looks good! Now I just need one at night. Was the dual gauge hard to read? It looks confusing.

It's a tiny bit confusing at first but doesn't take long. My biggest thing about it is that it doesn't look factory like the Issopro. To get both boost and egt you'd need the dual A pillar mount and lose the grab handle which we all like. However, I must say that the grab handle really adds to the blind spot on that post and I find I really don't use it as much as I thought. Might consider the dual Issopro.

I don't find the grab handle a hinderance. I find the gauge very easy to read. I didn't want a 2 or 3 pod pillar. I had a 3 pod pillar on my 96'. The blind spot it created was obnoxious. The wife uses the grab handle whenever she drives. I also didn't want an electronic gauge. I'd have to think when checking gauges. When driving with all analog gauges I only check the position of the gauge without having to think.

Just remember that the color green is one of the hardest colors for the human eye to process. Learned that from one of my laser design classes at Univ La Verne.

I had the three pod pillar on my 99 also. Didn't really notice the big blind spot. My biggest concern is the look of the westach gauge. I thought it looked a little rough on my 99 (FP gauge), however my 99 was a little rough around the edges so I din't care. My 06 is so nice and shiny (for now) and I like the look of the Issipro's. They match the factory gauge cluster nicely. IMHO. But the thought of only having one gauge keeps me coming back to Westach. I can't decide.

On a side note- couple of years ago I tried to by a Westach FP gauge from Genos and they were on back order for a little while. Come to find out the Westach Factory is right down the road in Shellville, CA. I thought I might just swing by the shop and pick one up. No offense to Geno's, but I like to keep my money local if I can.

Picked one up from the factory, the gentlemen was very helpful. Got home and realized he charged me $25. 00 more than Geno would have. When I called to talk to the salesman, he stated that if he sold it to me for the same price as Genos, customers wouldn't buy from Genos. Geno's must sell A-LOT of FP gauges. I guess that's what you get for keeping you money local. Now I send all my $$$$ to Geno.
