That typically is the first or a good sign you have impending injector failure.


 
Another vote for BBI here. After reading this forum and a few others it became clear BBI was a solid choice. I am running reman 1s. If you do injectors, I would recommend starting with the tank and ensuring you can a clean system providing fuel to the injectors. I replaced mine at 415k, original sticks, and wow what a difference it made. Now w FASS, MM3 and BBI injectors, she runs better than ever.
 
I am seeing more soot on the front of my trailer, but it is a bigger, heavier one than I previously had. Would that be a concern? Power seems good, and mileage isn't much different than it was with smaller trailer. Jim.
