Besides your truck what are your other interests?

I read quite a bit. Mostly science fiction, but I do get a few other things in there . I picked up a couple of other books lately: Sixguns by Elmer Keith and Fast and Fancy Revolver Shooting by McGivern. I also have a slight interest in guns (mostly revolvers).

playing around with home audio and video equipment. um. . i am a video game junkie... love that gran turismo game [ver. 1&2. no ps2 for me yet] but none of my friends are a strong challenge um, i am a movie nut. i watch many [too many maybe] movies. . sit in front of the computer reading and posting on the tdr here, on the ford-diesel forums, and on the dieselpage forums. watching tv... oh yeah, trying to get enough sleep. .

Guns-shooting, hunting, loading, smithing, (my buddy just got a . 50!--he already has 5 class 3)



Cycling-mountain bike racing-road bike training, but I'm not real competitive. Lance is the DUDE.



SCCA Road Racing--on hold 'til I make some real $.



Bluegrass and Blues and OLD Country--guitar mostly.



Amateur Radio (ham)- usually run 2m/440/220 mobile , adding HF again. Contests, emergency and public service communications (tornado/storms and bike races/rides) Transmitter hunting.



Oenology and Viticulture. (Winemaking and grape growing) and have judged several wine competitions.



And I do all the wrench turning on my vehicles and now Mom's and Dad's CTD's.



And I canoe and fish -fly, spin, salt.

Yea, this and guns. I made the mistake of getting my wife into guns. She dont shoot much, but when she does it's usually 2 to the chest and one to the head. She freaks the hell out of everyone at the range.

These two things dont go good together.....

I also reload for everything I shoot.

I read a lot.

Saltwater fishing.

I jump off cliffs, hang gliding. Used to race mountain bikes but it was too hard on my body and dangerous.

Drag racing - fourty years and the Hemi still can't be beat actually it is the only one that can even compete, motorcycles, ATVs, R/C cars, hey wait, anything with a motor. Just sold my hemi car, hopefully I can build one later in life.

Family, Flying, and helping with Boy Scouts. Haven't been flying in couple years though. I do still attend the local EAA meetings. Hope to get back current sometime soon, I sure miss it.

These are the things I wish I could make a living at. High performance engine building, gold prospecting, fly fishing, motorcycles, going to aircraft shows, flying, buying tools, and anything with an engine.



I like guns, but do not have the appeal they did before military service. If you live with a weapons or weapons for two years, eat, sleep, go to the bathroom, and have someone trying to use one on you, you tend not to want to do the same after you get out.
